Chairs

The boys love 'Cars', so mommy came home from walmart with a fun surprise a few weeks ago with chairs just their size, (covered with 'Cars' characters) they were very excited and immediately sat down and watched cars for a good 5-10 min, which is alot for them! lol. Of course, bryson couldn't decide which color he liked better, luckily his brother was fine switching back and forth with him a few times, i doubt that lasts long. Here is a picture of Mr. Red enjoying his chair:
Speaking of chairs, the joyus Potty Chair! Bryson doesn't use this kind of chair anymore, but it's really getting close to time to start thinking of getting Nolan to use it, I have it out, let him play, ask him to sit before bath or anytime he follows me in the bathroom. He thinks its fun to sit, take the top on and off, stand on it, put his hand in and quickly out and into his mouth (yuck) he will laugh sitting on it while i say "yay, what a big boy, can you go potty?" he nods, and jumps up promptly to be put in the tub where he just as the water hits him pees all over the tub, of course. So i tell myself, he will when he's ready and I'm just not ready to push this when he really can't communicate with me that great since he won't talk! Anyway, last weekend at my moms, my mom and i are talking on the couch and behind us hear Bryson leading Nolan to the bathroom, I hear him saying, "OK baby, stand here, I'm taking off your diaper, you go potty, u sit there(little potty) and i go potty on this big one" and Nolan stares at him bright eyed nodding yes of course i will...i quickly grabbed a pic as this conversation was taking place, it's hard to see, but they both have pants down, standing by the little potty:

He sat for less than 30 seconds, playing with whatever he could find:

and his norm, as soon as he got on, he popped right up (and didn't pee):

I quickly ushered him out to leave big bro some 'privacy' and to keep Nolan from taking apart or licking the toilet. Honestly, it was probably one of the CUTEST moments of brother time I've witnessed to date. Nolan thinks Bryson is pretty much the coolest thing ever, he still doesn't clearly say his name, which is payback considering Bryson only calls him "baby" i tell him often, "you know he's not a baby anymore, and pretty soon we will have a new baby, we should call him by his name." He's not into it. Thankfully, Nolan responds to about anything, we tested it the other night when Jeff calls, "baby" he turns, "nolan" he turns, "frank" turns and smiles, "red bear" turns again..looking like, what's going on, do i at least get a treat for this?? Anyway, I'm glad he doesn't care what we call him because we are both just as guilty as Bryson with the 'baby' thing. Anyway, I enjoy the sweet moments when they happen, this week has turned into Nolan loving to follow bryson around wanting all the same things, and loving to tackle him, Bryson laughs at first, then proceeds to yelling "get off of me now BABY", very frustrated. It is hard not to laugh, i find it so funny for some reason. Luckily he's pretty gentle so far, not that it matters that much because 30lb red bear is tough and can really hold his own. They are having fun tag teaming the house and getting into and doing anything they know will make me nuts. The joys of boys!! :)

Another chair we have fun conversations in is in the car. Funny story: the other night we were in the car and bryson says "that's the hosbibal mom, u go there when your sick, right mom?" i said "yes, when your sick and when babies come from mommy's bellies. After your birthday mommy will have a baby out of her belly, what do you want it to be?" Bryson says, " i want ANOTHER BOY", he says "his name can be Nolan, two Nolans." i said, "no, that's your brother's name, you wouldn't want the baby to be Bryson, cause that is your name, right? "No" he says. I say "then we should think of another name, what sounds good?" "how about Woody?" i say, "baby woody?" "Yep", he says in his cute teasing voice, " Hi Baby Woody!" insert lots of laughing, from both of us and an eye roll from mommy.. i say, "Bryson, that's a good name, but i don't' think we will name our baby that! Lets think of something else" and we changed the subject.

Anyway, lots of fun chairs in our lives, their most favorite is the car couch in front of the TV, and i love at night when they both squeeze in and share a snack. It warms my heart. What doesn't warm my heart: dinner time! I really wish they'd be better in the chairs at the dinner table, dinner is a struggle these days. Hoping that gets better soon! Or we may have to break down and go buy a mini fold up table and let them be on their own level, Bryson did so much better with that at Nolan's age, I'm avoiding that as much as possible, i don't need any more clutter!

Anyway, enough for now. I'll be back with more updates soon!
